Back 2 Basics Childcare is a purpose-built, family-owned, and operated childcare centre located in Maungatapere. Established on the Taylor family’s land, our Centre was designed to create an open-plan environment that fosters fun, education, fresh air, and natural outdoor exploration—elements our family believes are crucial for the healthy development of our children.

Back 2 Basics is designed with a focus on year-round outdoor exploration, gardening and interactions with animals.
We strive to support the health & well-being of our tamariki by encouraging healthy lifestyle choices, empathy and respect for our environment, nature and other living things.
